On May 31, 2019, the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and Legal Daily jointly hosted the Press Conference of China's Arbitration Credibility Assessment Report and the Second Arbitration Credibility Forum in Beijing, and the "Arbitration Credibility" Award Series was announced. China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) was awarded "Top 10 Foreign Service Organizations".

The first unit of the meeting, "Release of the Arbitration Credibility Assessment Report", was presided over by Mr. SHI Zhongjian, Vice President of CUPL. Mr. HUANG Jin, Vice President of China Law Society and Chairman of Arbitration Research Institute of CUPL, and Mr. ZHANG Ya, Editor-in-Chief of Legal Daily and expert reviewer of the First and Second forums delivered welcoming speeches on behalf of the organizers respectively. Mr. WANG Shengming, member of the NPC Standing Committee and vice chairman of the NPC Supervision and Justice Committee, attended the speech, and Mr. SHI Hai, Director of the Arbitration Division of the Public Legal Service Administration of the Ministry of Justice, delivered a keynote speech. Ms. DU Xinli, President of the Court of Arbitration of CUPL, delivered the theme publishing in the subsequent "China Arbitration Credibility Evaluation Report" release link. She introduced the list of the second session of the Arbitration Credibility Assessment Expert Review Committee, announced the winners of the "Excellent Investigator" and awarded the prize. During the keynote presentation, Xue Tong, deputy Secretary-General of the Arbitration Institute of CUPL, Zhou Wei, the researcher of Arbitration Research Institute and Lecturer of Law Information Management College of CUPL, JIANG Lili, Secretary-General and Vice President of the Arbitration Institute of CUPL respectively delivered thematic reports on "Release of the Overall Report on the Second Session of China's Arbitration Credibility Assessment Research", "Analysis Report on the Credibility of China's Internet Arbitration", and "Research Report on the Arbitration Credibility Assessment". Finally, Mr. ZHANG Ya and Mr. HUANG Jin announced the list of "Top 10 Foreign Service Organizations" and "Top 10 National Arbitration Organizations", and presented the awards. The second unit of the conference "Arbitration Credibility Forum" was presided over by Mr. WAN Xuezhong, editorial board member of Legal Daily and president of Legal Net. The speeches were delivered respectively by Mr. HUANG Xiwu, Judge of the Fourth People's Court of the Supreme Court, Mr. WANG Chengjie, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Mr. LIU Jingdong, the review expert and Director of Office of International Economic Law, Institute of International Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Mr. LIN Zhiwei, Secretary-General of Beijing Arbitration Commission, Mr. MA Jun, the review expert and President of the Beijing Fourth Middle People's Court, Dr. CHEN Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of CMAC and Vice President of the Arbitration Court, Mr. SUN Yanchen, the review expert and General Counsel of BAIC Group, Mr. LI Denghua, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Wuhan Arbitration Commission Office, Zhang Lixia, Director of Arbitration and Mediation Committee of All China Lawyers Association, Lin ningbo, Secretary-General of Hainan International Arbitration Court.

Deputy Secretary-General of CMAC, Dr. CHEN Bo firstly expressed her gratitude to the organizers, relevant evaluation experts and all sectors of society who have given high praise to the development of CMAC. She said that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of CMAC. For a long time, the authority and impartiality of CMAC has been highly recognized by the domestic and foreign industries, and the rate of cancellation and non-enforcement is almost zero. The development of CMAC is the result of the efforts of several generations of people, thanks to a fair, honest and professional team of arbitrators and secretaries, as well as the social concerns and supports. The rich experience accumulated in 60 years of exploration and practice, the profound arbitration culture and the principles and values of arbitration in line with international standards run through all CMAC's work, laying a foundation and providing a guarantee for the improvement of arbitration credibility. CMAC will make unremitting efforts to promote its development and center construction. She pointed out that the establishment of a third-party arbitration evaluation mechanism is of great significance and far-reaching influence. It can not only promote arbitration institutions to improve their mechanisms, improve their services and enhance their credibility, but also promote the social understanding of arbitration, expand the international influence of China's arbitration, improve the modern arbitration system, and further promote the development of arbitration. Finally, she said that with the unremitting efforts of the project sponsors, the second Arbitration Credibility Evaluation Report Project has become more objective and quantitative. She hoped that the project will be better and better, the index system construction will be improved, and the scientific, objective and fair standards will always be adhered to, so as to truly realize the value and goals of the project.
