On 11 August 2022, CMAC and China Construction Industry Association (CCIA) co-hosted a Joint Seminar on “Hot Issues in Construction Arbitration” in Beijing. The event was co-organized by CMAC Construction Dispute Arbitration Center and CCIA Legal Service Work Committee. Around 30 CMAC panel arbitrators and construction industry experts attended the seminar.

The seminar was moderated by Mr. Yuan Huazhi (Vice President of Legal Service Work Committee of CCIA). Mr. Chen Taixiang (Vice President of Legal Service Work Committee of CCIA and Deputy Secretary General of CCIA) and Dr. Li Hu (Vice Chairman of CMAC) delivered the welcome remarks respectively.

In the keynote speech session, Mr. Cui Wuxue (Vice President of Legal Service Work Committee of CCIA), Dr. Chen Bo (Deputy Secretary General of CMAC) and Mr. Yuan Huazhi (Vice President of Legal Service Work Committee of CCIA) delivered the keynote speech respectively.

In the free discussion session, all attendees exchanged opinions on issues related to construction arbitration. Many attendees said that the establishment of CMAC construction dispute arbitration center, along with the inclusion of 106 CMAC panel arbitrators with experience in construction, and the amendment of CMAC Arbitration Rules, meets the need of the hour. CMAC construction dispute arbitration center has endeavored to provide clients with qualified dispute resolution services, to promote the development of the Chinese diversified dispute resolution mechanism, and to optimize China’s business environment.
