CMAC and Beijing CBD Management Committee Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On December 19, 2025, the event themed “Development of Beijing International Demonstration Zone for Integrated Legal and Commercial Services & Chaoyang Theme Event” was held at the Zhengda Center in Beijing. It was co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform and the Chaoyang District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and organized by the Beijing Central Business District Management Committee. Tang Wenhong, Deputy Mayor of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and Nie Jieying, Head of Chaoyang District, attended the event and delivered opening speeches.

During the signing ceremony, Dr. Li Hu, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CMAC, and Wang Qingfeng, Director of Beijing Central Business District Management Committee, signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.

The parties to the Strategic Cooperation Agreement have reached a consensus on deepening resource integration to form a synergistic development model of “Arbitration Services + Industrial Ecosystems”, and established a comprehensive strategic partnership. The cooperation covers joint building Beijing into a premier international maritime arbitration, promoting innovation and practice of maritime arbitration system, collaboratively developing the Beijing International Commercial Arbitration Center, providing enterprise empowerment and training programs, and jointly establishing an international legal think tank for maritime law.

With the Strategic Cooperation Agreement as a link, CMAC will work with the Beijing CBD and other relevant institutions to pool synergies efforts and deepen pragmatic cooperation. CMAC will continue to improve the maritime and commercial arbitration services, enhance the capacity for resolving international maritime and commercial disputes, inject strong impetus into building Beijing as an international commercial arbitration hub, and safeguard the stability and smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains through arbitration.
